Add Budtello to your AI app

Before you begin

Use a computer. Phone AI apps cannot add a connector. Once it is added, Budtello also works in the Claude phone app.
Make a free Claude account at claude.ai. The free plan is enough.
Open your Budtello invite link. Click Create your account. Use your work email. No invite link? Create an account.
Type the code Budtello emails you.
Agree to the terms.
On a Manager link, paste your own Metrc API key (how to find it). Click Join.
In Claude, open Customize. Click Connectors.
Click +. Click Add custom connector.
Type Budtello in Name. Paste the connector address in URL:
Click Add. Then click Connect. A Budtello sign-in window opens.
Sign in with your Budtello account. Click Allow. The window closes and Budtello shows as connected.
Start a new chat.
Ask: “What can I ask Budtello?”

“Couldn’t register with Budtello’s sign-in service.”	Remove Budtello. Add it again with the connector address: https://mcp.budtello.com/mcp
No Add custom connector button.	On a Team or Enterprise plan, only an owner can add it: Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web. You then find it under Customize → Connectors and click Connect.
Budtello is connected but does not answer.	In the chat, click +, then Connectors, and turn Budtello on.
“Your account is in two chains.”	Email help@budtello.com.
The app cannot reach Budtello.	Remove Budtello. Add it again with the connector address. Start a new chat.
Anything else.	Email info@budtello.com.

A paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu.
On Business, Enterprise or Edu: your workspace admin allows developer mode first.

Click Apps. (Some accounts: Apps & Connectors, or Security and login.)
Click Advanced settings. Turn on Developer mode.
Go back to Apps. Click Create. (Some accounts: + or Add connector.)
Name: type Budtello. Icon: upload the Budtello icon:
Download icon
MCP server URL: paste the connector address:
Authentication: choose OAuth. Leave Client ID and Client Secret empty.
Tick I trust this application. Click Create. A Budtello sign-in window opens.
Sign in with your Budtello account. Click Allow. The window closes and Budtello shows as connected.
Start a new chat. Click +. Choose Developer mode, then Budtello.
Ask: “What can I ask Budtello?”

No Developer mode switch.	Move to a paid plan, or ask your admin to allow developer mode.
Signed in, but no Budtello tools.	Start a new chat. If that fails: remove Budtello, then add it again.
ChatGPT asks you to approve an action.	Approve it. Anything that saves asks first.
The app cannot reach Budtello.	Remove Budtello. Add it again with the connector address. Start a new chat.

No Custom choice, or Budtello is not allowed.	On Grok Business or Enterprise, the team admin adds it once at console.x.ai → Grok Business → Connectors → + Add Connector → Other, with the connector address. You then connect it at grok.com/connectors.
The app cannot reach Budtello.	Remove Budtello. Add it again with the connector address. Start a new chat.
Anything else.	Email info@budtello.com.

A personal Google account (a Gmail address); you are in the US, 18 or older, with Gemini in English.
Keep Activity is on.

Sign in with your Budtello account. Click Allow. The window closes and Budtello shows as connected.
In a chat, type @. Choose Budtello.

No Custom apps section.	Check: personal Google account, US, 18+, English, Keep Activity on. Or use Claude or ChatGPT.
@Budtello does not appear.	Turn Keep Activity on again.
The app cannot reach Budtello.	Remove Budtello. Add it again with the connector address. Start a new chat.
